The Goddess Rests
August 19, 2008
I did a terrible thing today. The house was a mess, Mr. J’s diaper was sopping wet and the sink was full of dishes. It was one of those days - I had been up at 4 am because Mookie got himself into a fit of coughing that wouldn’t let up. Of course, after I turned on his vaporizer and went back to bed, I couldn’t help but lie awake, trying to gauge that his coughing was getting less and less (it was.). Needless to say, by the time DH got home at 3 pm (early off - dentist appt) I was slightly dizzy and feeling a little, well, SLEEPY.
Now 3 pm is the time I start dinner, pick up the living room, clean out the dishes in the sink and the like. I knew I could get even more done since DH was home to help with the little ones.
You know what I did instead? I TOOK A 3 HOUR NAP.
And you know what, it felt DAMN good.
Take a nap. Your body will thank you.
That is all.

Hey CeeCee! I had a similiar incident recently & blogged about it also…I had some “me” time though. It was nice just to have some time alone, or a nap shoot it’s all the same…….A BREAK!! Good for you!

Yore AL antie takes one everyday. Right now, I’m her alarm clock and call and wake her up.
A nap a day is a good thing. Perhaps when Mr. Mook is in school (in almost 2 weeks), if it’s afternoon, The Princess and Dr. J should take one too. Then you can have yours because you absolutely deserve it!!!

I just happened upon your blog site and couldn’t help but laugh! I’m a stay at home mother of just two boys and could feel your pain. Hang in there, and don’t stop takin’ naps!

I don’t blame you. I have those days too, and I don’t feel guilty at all. :O)
