The summer, as we know it, is over, at least for us here in the goddess household. First off, the furnace actually kicked on for the first time since April, since the temp fell below 64 degrees during the night. I had to hurriedly shake out fleece blankets from last year and search frantically around for something to keep the little ones warm at night. And socks!! The little ones haven’t been in socks for months!!

Now the big reason why summer is over- Mookie and Princess E will both be in school full time starting this year, leaving Mr. J home with me. Well sometimes, I guess. Mr. J will also be spending some time with his grandmother, leaving me free – at least for a couple of hours. And being free for a couple of hours after having been a full time mom for five years straight is nothing to sneeze at.

So, for all you moms out there who are letting your babies fly out of the nest for the first time, remember, they’ll be fine. They LIKE being with other children!!! Now go out and do something for yourself. I know I will!
