…..ok, so I work at home, so it’s not THAT big of a deal, but it’s pretty monumental to me. For those of you who follow this blog, you know that for the past three years or so, I’ve been creating natural bath and body products at home. Well, in October of this year, I realized that I was not having any fun doing it – it was a drag, not to create the products themselves, but to follow through with labeling and packaging and the like, ugh, I am SO not detail oriented. Plus I was trying to gear up for writing for the month of November – for those in the know about NaNoWriMo, and I just couldn’t see myself down the road packaging and selling these products on a regular basis. Now, mind you, I liked the money, however, it was too much muss and fuss for me.

So, I just decided to STOP right then and there. I had taken a few breaks before, to see if my attitude toward the whole thing changed, but it didn’t, so here I was, a basement full of bottles, jars, fragrance oils and numerous butters and a brand new outlook for the the end of the year. What a relief!!

Oh, what am I doing now, you might ask? Why must I be doing something? Can’t I just take a break…ok, who am I fooling. Yes, I DO have another venture and the store is all ready up. I crochet, and I love crocheting, so out of a Prince song was born Raspberry Crochet. Cute, right? Yes, I am a genius, no doubt. Anyhoo, take a peek of my store at http://raspberrycrochet.etsy.com or take a look in the sidebar at some of the stuff I have to offer. Stock changes all the time, so be aware.

Do I think I quit? Yes. Do I feel bad about it? Nope. I learned so much from the experience and what NOT to do the second time around that it was well worth it. I am glad that I had the experience!

Family updates will come next post, I promise!!!
