Branching out

Hey there fans! Glad to see your still reading. I know that I’ve been a bit neglectful in posting to my main blog, the blog that’s been with you for years, but I’ve been busy.

You all know (or should know) about my neosoulmama.info blog and my new store site sheaproducts.info. But, crazy or not, I’ve launched a new website: womenpreneurs.info, a site for women working online to share stories and peruse resources. There is also a featured businesses section and room for advertising. Now, the site is a baby - less than week old, and as all websites are, it’s a work in progress. If you’ve got the time, stop by and tell me what you think.

Let’s see, what’s been going on with the little ones? Well, Mr. J has been insisting that he use the computer, over and over again. “I wanna use da computa, I wanna use the computa, mommy!” Princess E is wanting to be a “big girl” and sleep w/out, gasp, her pull up at night. I’m like, go for it honey, the less packs of pull ups I need to bring into this house the better. Note: She tried it for one night and was successful, but for some reason wanted to wear the pull up the following night. I’m going to talk to her tonight to see if I can get her out of the pull up thing. I figure Mr. J can use the almost full pack of pull-ups - I’ll just get a marker and color the pink, red. (yes, and I’ll do it to. Why waste a pack of pull ups!!!)

The weather has been so funny around here in the past week that I’ve had a hard time coping with the outside/inside time. I send the children outside, then it gets cloudy and stormy. I call them back inside, and the sun comes back out. Plus the fact that there was a yellow jacket nest under the deck steps (that DH sprayed and got rid of)…well let’s just say I’ve been creative with inside activities AND that I’ve introduced them to “Between the Lions”.

Mr. Mookie let me in on a secret - he likes watching “Between the Lions” because it helps him to learn how to read. For goodness sake, he’s not even in kindergarten yet!!! The show’s a little weird, but it is PBS and seems pretty much ok. I like the way they show the real people interacting with puppets.

Anyhoo, that’s my update on the little ones and me. I PROMISE I’ll do better with my updates.

I agree, “Between the Lions” is a little weird but it’s a lot of interesting things, lol.

My how the kiddos grow fast! WooHoo for Princess going to bed with no pull ups. Way to grow! I’m all for kids getting into reading so if “between the lions” works for that result I say use it.
