Well, I had a great day today. Walked my Mookie to school, dropped him off, then came home, rushed around and got Princess E and Mr. J some socks and off to my first meeting of MOPS. Let me tell you, ladies, this was best two hours I’ve spent this month. I bustle my two little ones in and, listen to this, DROP
THEM
OFF.

I walk away from the room with nothing but my purse. I then go to another room where I am able to paint and make a picture frame. Yes. I painted a wooden picture frame and, oh, forgot this part,
TALKED
TO
OTHER
LADIES.

Without the interruption of little ones. NO fingers in my paint. NO asking, what are you doing? NO calls to the bathroom ‘because I went boo boo’. Just time to paint my little wooden frame and chit chat. Then I got a cup of coffee, sat down at a round table in a room with other great moms, played a game, watched two funny videos (which I’m going to look up on youtube) and laughed and relaxed.

When I picked up my two little ones, they weren’t exactly overjoyed to see me - they were looking more for that lollipop they were getting at the end of their session.

But the point is, how refreshing the whole thing was. I had a great time and was able to come home, serve lunch and the little ones took a nap while I played classical music and wrote two articles.

Wow. And this is only once a month?????

By the way, the organization is called Mothers of Preschoolers and their website is http://www.mops.org/. It is an international organization and will most likely have a chapter in your area!
