Music Tuesday continues with this song that I just can’t get out of my head these days! I heard it on the radio last week, and well, it’s stuck there!

Now, I do want to say that I had never heard of this group until this song made the charts. Apparently, they were this big heavy metal band and this song was musically a big departure for them. Well, I’m glad that they departed because I love the guitar and the vocal harmonies in the song!

Today I will start out with one of my fave Beatles’ songs - Hey Jude.

Why do you like this song, goddess?
Hmm, that’s hard to say. I really don’t like most of the Beatles songs and totally lost touch when they went all guru-like. In addition, I’m not one of those rabid Beatles fans who knows the years, lyrics, liner notes and the like. I happen to like Hey Jude because it’s got a heavy piano track (because I play piano) and the chord progressions are easy on the ear. And the “na, na, na”? It could go on forever for all I care, I love it!

I’ve posted several different versions for your enjoyment.

The Fab Four Perform

I read this list over at the baby boomer blog and wanted to share this with you all. I loved it especially since we’re getting a dog soon. (See # 7) ( My Sheba-dog passed away 4/07, so I’m finally ready for a new furry son or daughter!) I’m also going to buy a few new plants for my living room.
